Costa Smeralda

Crossing the “Valley of the Moon” we will admire the magnificent mountains that wind and water have shaped over the centuries, creating a landscape as well as Earth’s moon. Short stop in Luogosanto, a municipality in province of Sassari in the hearth of Gallura, from where you can admire oak woods and granite rocks. The tour continues in a harmonious succession of granite rocks to the Costa Smeralda with the visit of the famous Porto Cervo that in the summer becomes an extraordinary procession of hundreds of yachts and vip. Lunch break in Baia Sardinia and after lunch will follow free time for bathing in the emerald waters of this coast. Full Day

La Maddalena e Caprera

Along the coast road Castelsardo – Santa Teresa, we will reach the touristic port of Palau. On board of a ferry-boat you will reach the island of La Maddalena, the largest of the archipelago where from 1972 to 2008, there was a U.S. Naval Support Activity base. This island was also the place where important historical naval battles had place. There battled historical figures such as Napoleone Bonaparte and Lord Nelsen. The tour continues in Caprera Island with the visit of Garibaldi Museum. Return in Maddalena for the lunch and free time for bathing. Full Day

Arcipelago della Maddalena

The Maddalena Archipelago has been declared National Park in 1994 and it is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Sardinia. The several beaches and coves of the archipelago are famous for the clearness of its waters and are very appreciated by tourists and foreigners. After reaching the port of Palau will follow the visit and free time for bathing around the most beautiful islands in the archipelago: Spargi, S. Maria, Maddalena and circumnavigation of Budelli with its “Spiaggia Rosa” (Pink Beach):  it takes name from the characteristic pink color of the sand, due to breakage of the shells of tiny marine animals.  Lunch on board. Nuoro e Orgosolo

This excursion focuses on the visit of the beautiful hinterland of the island. After departure from the hotel, we will reach by bus Nuoro that with its roman origins is the capital city of Barbagia. Birthplace of several renowned artists, including writers, poets, painters, and sculptors, Nuoro hosts some of the most important museums in Sardinia. It is considered an important cultural center of the region and it has been referred as the “Atene sarda” (Sardinian Athens). The tour continues in Orgosolo where you can enjoy the traditional food of shepherds: sausage, ricotta, piglet spit and sweets. Here you can also visit the center of the city and admire the famous “Murales”. These political paintings can be found on walls all over Orgosolo. Since about 1969, the murales reflect different aspects of Sardinia’s political struggles but also deal with international issues. With Guide Full Day

Torralba e Saccargia

A beautiful tour around West Sardinia hinterland. Bosa is a fabulous village where history and modernity come together generating curiosity and fascination. It’s a place of great culinary and craftsmanship tradition (Malvasia is a very known local wine). The Old Village, also known as Sa Costa, lies around the Serravalle Castle, built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The tour continues to the little village of Torralba where you can visit the archeological site of Reggia Nuragica of Santu Antine. Excursion ends with the visit near Sassari of the most famous medieval church of the Island: Basilica of SS. Trinità of Saccargia. Free time for shopping / coffee breaks / lunching is expected during the excursion.

Stintino

After one hour bus we will reach the beautiful beaches of the little village of Stintino where you can relax bathing in the famous Stintino beach “La Pelosa” with its beautiful waters and white sand. Half Day

Alghero

On board of a comfortable bus along the road of the two seas, after 1 hour 30 minutes you will arrive in Alghero, Catalan city with one of the most interesting historic center of the island. The name Alghero comes from Aleguerium, which is a mediaeval Latin word meaning ‘stagnation of algae’. Here there will be guided visit of the ancient part of the city and free time for shopping around the touristic port where you can find many shops with characteristic and typical products. Parco dell’ Asinara

As you leave from Castelsardo, you will cross the coast road to Stintino, from where you will reach the Asinara National Park. At Stintino you will find a little “Catalan train” or a jeep 4*4 with a guide, who will show you the beauties of the island. Along the way from Fornelli to Cala Scomunica you can visit the former maximum security prison, the Austro-Hungarian Ossuary, the little village of Cala d’Oliva, until you join Punta Scominca, the highest point in the Island from which there is a wonderful panoramic view on the Asinara and Corsica. During the excursion you can see many rare animals like the white donkey, the moufflon and the wild goat; you can dive into the crystalline waters of Cala Sabina and Cala dell’Ossario. Sassari

As Sardinia’s second most populated city, and the fifth largest municipality in Italy, Sassari has a considerable amount of cultural, touristic, commercial and political importance in the island. The guided tour will consist on the visit of the main buildings and squares: the Cathedral of St. Nicholas of Bari, built in the 13th century and enlarged in Catalan Gothic style from 1480; the Ducal Palace built for the Duke of the Asinara in the 18th century and Piazza Italia (the main square of Sassari) surrounded by interesting buildings such as the Neo-Gothic “Palazzo Giordano” and the neoclassical “Palace of Sassari’s Province”, where the ancient royal apartments of the House of Savoy were once located.
